Hi Everybody! Just a little pup named Moses here, coming your way to tell you my story. It’s not a very long story as I am only about 10 weeks old, but I feel as if I am the luckiest pup in the world and needed to share.
I don’t remember too much of the beginning of my life, but I must of had a Mama who loved me and I had several brothers and sisters. But something went wrong as my brothers and sisters and I were not wanted, and sadly abandoned at a boat dock along the Tallapoosa River. We did our best to find food and to stay safe but it was scary.  moses (more…)

Dear Rescue K911 Family:
Sitting here tonight at my computer, my heart is filled with so much gratitude for you. Larry and I think about you, our Rescue K911 family, and all the love, faithfulness, and support that you have shown to both of us, and also the dogs of Rescue K911. Throughout the years, you have been there beside us through each rescue, each need, each event, each adoption and through each loss. You have laughed with us and let us cry on your shoulders. You have given to us – your love, your heart, and your gifts of support. You will never know how much you mean to us. We could not do this work alone, we need YOU, and oh how you have been there for us!  We know many of you pray for us each day and we want to thank you so much! We could not do this work without God and the strength He gives us to get through each day.  I have been blessed to have a praying Mother who holds up Rescue K911 every day in her prayers. Thanks Mom!
That is why I am sitting here tonight  finally able to open my heart to you, our wonderful friends.  To be honest, this has been a tough summer for Rescue K911.  Several of our precious volunteers have been going through some really tough times in their personal lives, and like any family, when one of us hurts, we all hurt, and gather to share each others burden and pain.  There is a beloved spouse dying of cancer, a son having had heart and brain surgery after suffering strokes, and now rehab. I too will be facing surgery at UAB hospital this coming Tuesday (13th).  I have a mass in my abdomen that will need to be removed.  Praying it is not cancer, but as of now, don’t know for sure. If you would, please keep all of us here at Rescue K911 in your daily prayers, both two and four legged. We believe in your prayers! We need your prayers! Please pray for healing for us… for faith… for grace…for comfort in what we must face each day.
Our mission remains the same, to rescue the lost and homeless
and with God’s help and our continued determination… always will be.
Thank you for all your love, prayers and support.
Thank you so much!
